I watched it as a fan of Adrien Brody’s work. It’s a compelling if not original story (man seeking redemption). Act 1 may seem slow to some but it picks up well.

i’d like to see a remake of Sandford and Son, now that would be funny..
No matter the truth, one must always side with Bob. His stories are legend.
As jingoistic as they come. It’s the same both east and west.
All the same, fine direction and cinematography.
Joe was an excellent choice as guest host, and Bill is always a playfully fun guest on every show.
I know it was silly but sometimes we need silly. It was exactly the kind of lighthearted nonsense that I needed right now.
This film is still as entertaining as ever!
I’m glad I got to see it again.
Wonderful cast and fun plot!
This is actually episode 11. I shall try to link the true episode 10 with Brad Underwood.
The episode with Rob Lowe is not #10, it is #11. Episode 10 is with Brad Underwood.
Tried to add the link for the real episode 10 but it failed. Sorry.
Federal minimum wage $7.25 USD?! Of course you have a poverty crisis.
Well, things have taken several turns. I look forward to seeing how this plays out.
Very funny comedian who forgot to bring his good material. Podcast worthy, yes; Netflix worthy, no.
I believe Eisenhower’s wife would also find the “treaty” reprehensible and even more damning to his legacy. I’m sure she would have wanted to give her life to prevent all of this. Ike should have known and stated so.
I’ve known from early on (it was obvious), though they have kept it interesting with all these red herrings.
*sigh…having Getting On flashbacks, even though that adaptation had a better cast.
They don’t necessarily need to die IN the building. Someone could drop dead on the sidewalk by the front doors or something along those lines. Murders in other buildings is another route they could go. An acquaintance could call one of them, panicked, “Someone just died in my building and it’s a little sus.” But, just in case, don’t rule out “Suspiciously silly,” because we’re talking about 2/3 of the Three Amigos here.
Fair enough. Let’s hope for another good season and see which way they go.
Very interestingly done episode!
I wonder, though, how they can pull off a second season.
I can empathise with Neegan. I was a good man until I lost my true love. Then I became…not a good man.
“Little threat”?
I guess just like Richard was little threat to them, who was not the legitimate heir to the throne but ended up stealing it for himself. I mean he did that (which is a fact) but murder, nah he wouldn’t do that.
Seriously. Saying they were not a threat because they were declared illegitimate. If you can declare a legitimate heir illegitimate, you could obviously also do the reverse.
And even if the boys themselves had no intentions of challenging their uncle, do you think there were not some people that might think “If we can get this young child back on the throne, think of what we stand to gain.”
I mean there was an attempt to spring them from their confinement. Just like with other deposed kings in previous times.
Do not kid yourself. They were always gonna remain a threat to Richards throne as long as they were alive. That’s natural when you steal the crown from someone.
As evidence you can look at the two cases of imposters who just claimed to be the older prince during Henrys time, that had the support of some people. Now imagine the actual prince showed up. You might not just have the support of a few and some peasants, but of some Lords, especially those that might not be too happy under the current rule. And suddenly, you’re not just facing some small revolt, but something much more threatening.
And while Tudor propaganda (the vicor writes the history) must be considered and present when looking at history, the Tudors did not control everyone and everything. A large number of people hang around court that they can’t all have under their control.
Also, Henry Tudor was married to the princes older sister. Was she in on it? And when did he do it. Because he couldn’t have done it when they disappeared never to be seen again.
Not to mention, Richard had Edwards uncle, his half brother and his chamberlain arrested and executed. So he has the people closest to the rightful king executed, but Richard wouldn’t get rid of the actual threat to him?
Get outta here with that nonsense.
Don’t get your panties in a bunch sweetheart. If you brits are still happy to spend millions every year keeping a gang of inbred leeches in luxury, there’s no point stressing about what their ancestors did
What a load of bollocks! Richard did not have the princes murdered. They were already declared illegitimate and therefore little threat. However, they were a HUGE threat to Henry VII. It is he who ended their lives.
One of Oliver Reeds greatest performances. He was truly the best choice for the part, and he embellishes the character better than any other version.
Looks like Hera is getting invovled. Nice call back ancient Greece!
Very glad to see this back! Bit weak for a season opener. I hope it does better.
Damn! They killed Richard Harrow again?! Can’t a guy catch a break?
Great actor! I hope he survives the shooting.
Many interesting references to The Wizard of Oz in this episode.
They start out in black and white, there is the little dog, a sudden tornado, change to colour; we even have a wicked witch and a good witch in the two sisters. One bars the boy from the table, while the other permits him.
It may be a further stretch, but I think the two men represent two of Dorothy’s companions on the road. The salesman is the scarecrow (friendly but naive), and the oil-seeking man is the tin man.
I believe that the preacher who quickly backed down from making his long-winded prayer is the cowardly lion.
I love that these guys have never had boundaries. They’ll go as far as they want. Great special! Thank you.
The funniest American sketch comedy since The Richard Pryor Show. Dave Chappelle is one of the finest comedians America has produced. With the addition of Charlie Murphy and other supporting comics, this show was legendary even in it’s time.
That was a lot better than I thought it would be. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
We’ll have to see how long they can retain the anticipation held within the main plot point and how many directions they choose to go.
The cast and sense of humour will likely sustain it.
It had it all; action, drama, and suspense. Great casting with a nicely paced story. If you like either or both Narcos series’, you’ll probably love this.
