What a lovely cozy mystery. If you’re a Midsomer Murders, or Murdoch Mysteries fan, this may be right up your street.

Way better & so much more fun than I thot this would be… and it’s only half way thru the 1st episode. I’m in for the foreseeable future!
I am SO looking forward to this new itteration of Shetland, post DI Jimmy Perez. I can’t wait to see how they’ll fill that void.
This is hysterical, Patricia Arquette has hit her stride and she shines in this role. Great cast, quirky writing, and laugh out loud funny!
This is a brilliant, tense, dark comedy. IMDb rating 7.7, loving it, so far!
A lovely Cozy Mystery/Who-Done-It, filmed in Queensland, AUS. Gorgeous scenery, good acting + chemistry by the leading pair, and some cool cameos from Australia’s bounty of talent. Looking forward to the next episode.
Laugh out loud funny, a brilliant cast is what makes for an endearing comedy. Lovely and hilarious!
Season 2 is even better than the 1st! French Canadian Crime Dramas have come a long way, superb!
This latest installment was fantastic! I’ll definitely do a rewatch before series 4 drops… not a moment too soon!
This show is smashing, whip-smart, laugh-out-loud funny, and heartbreaking at times. Ben Whishaw nails it!
Not sure what to think of this show yet. I was not bad but for my liking, the storyline was a bit too easy. Being used to many potential culprits, this compared was single-minded. I expected more back and forth among the characters, as the Brits usually do. But it reminded me of so many series, first in mind “Father Brown”, “Grantchester”, and many more. I will keep watching, for it’s something to do if bored.
I’m on episode 2 and I made those comparisons too, after ep 1. Now it reminds me more of the Murdoch Mysteries, with her forensic knowledge and education. It’s a fun watch, either way.
A lovely Cozy Mystery to rival Father Brown and Grantchester! I’m only 1 episode in, but I’m very pleasently surprised.
There is now 1 link with Hardcoded Eng Subs on each of the following hosts: Mixdrop, Streamtape, Voe, Streamplay, Upstream, Userload, and Dood. Just look for the words “Hardcoded Eng Subbed” in the filename. When you click on the right version of the show with the subs you will see it in the file name. All the other will say Dubbed.
I can understand Montana, but why Utah? Do they go to Utah or something like that, what part of Utah (nearby city/town) is in this show? Is Utah just in this episode or is it other episodes?
IMDb lists multiple filming locations in Montana and, surprisingly (to me) Utah.
Sorry for your loss
Thank you, it was a long time ago. We all have some life changing event, tragedy or triumph, that makes us who we are. This, so far, is a well written story of a young woman dealing with grief and loss. Ignore the pretense of frivolity, it gets serious soon enough.
This is a tough watch for me, I lost my family to an airplane crash many years ago. But this handles the subject matter truthfully, from her perspective, and with what seems to me to be, great insight.
Whoa, that was great, I couldn’t stop watching! Taut psychological thriller, I hope it gets at least one more season.
I’m looking forward to seeing season 2 because it seems that “…filming halted in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In January 2021 it was confirmed that a second series had been ordered, with series one to restart shooting in February 2021, with both series being filmed back to back…”
I just started this and so far, so good! It reminds me a bit of Balthazar, which I hope there will be more of.
I loved it, binged all of this, yesterday and today! Nice surprise at the end of this season, too.
Vera and Shetland lovers, there’s a new series, The Long Call, based on the Anne Cleeves novel of the same title. The 1st in a series of two books… and, hopefully, the ITV show, as well.
“For the first time in 20 years, Ann Cleeves —international bestselling and award-winning author of the Vera and Shetland series, both of which are hit TV shows— embarks on a gripping new series.” Good Reads
I love this show! 2nd series just as good, if not better than the 1st, I hope we don’t have to wait another 2 years for a 3rd.
Dark, gritty, period-piece, crime drama. I loved it. I hope this gets another series or 3!
For me Finnish crime series were always heavily lacking compared to Swedish, Norwegian or Icelandic so when I discovered this Finnish cold war spy drama series Shadow Lines I did not have high hopes. However seeing that it was attached to Sundance Now (and their stellar record with foreign spy dramas like the Modern French spy drama series “The Bureau” or Le Bureau Des Legendes) I decided to jump in. Once you understand the “whose who” of the key players (USA/Soviet Union/Finland) it takes about two episodes for the storyline to start cooking. Overall, the characters themselves are interesting, in particular Helena and her backstory. The acting is hit and miss however but overall the Finnish actors trying for an American accent do a pretty good job. It’s no Homeland but it is a pretty well written spy series about the heyday of the Cold War and of a country trying to regain it’s political independence from two Superpower taskmasters. 4/5
Just finished series 2, wow! I cannot recommend this enough for espionage, thriller lovers… like me. TX is right, even after you figure out who is who. it’s still a shell game. Keeps you on your toes, that’s for sure.
Starts out slow. The last few episodes were some of the best suspense I have seen. 5/5
Agreed! I’m glad I took a chance on this one. The IMDb rating was 4.8 or something similar when it first dropped. It’s considerably higher now. Definitely worth a watch, I hope it gets another season, or two.
This just gets weirder and weirder, in really good ways! Spooky*
