‘New’ is the prodigal-son story of Isaiah, told by Penny who, along with her best friends, Nattie, Emmie, and Jess, spend their summer working at a Creative Arts Center. Together, they participate in ‘Art in the Park’, a festival created for children to experience the joy of the arts. The summer is not without it’s challenges, though. Isaiah, Emmie’s adopted brother, is tempted by a top-entertainment talent scout to compromise his beliefs and leave his family and kids who look up to him, for a life of fame. And we can’t forget about Penny’s dog, Judah! A big Goldendoodle full of energy! ‘New’ is full of dancing, art, music, drama, comedy, and is meant to encourage kids and families to go after their God-given talents. |
