‘Of the Earth’ weaves together a loose narrative structure in which the everyday life of a woman comes undone in the night. The film plays with the tensions inherent in modern living and the surrounding natural forces that shape us. Natural objects are re-appropriated to fit the shape of domestic life. Conversely, objects become more than what they seem. Household items take on a life of there own. Slow and meditative, this is an experiential video creates a world in which the laws of cause and effect are bent. |
