‘HOMEWRECKA’ tells a girl-story through the eyes of a battered boy. A young man recovering from a near fatal attack in a hospital bed recalls memories of the daily physical beatings he received from the girl he continues to be in love with, Claire. The film is inspired by classic literature (i.e. Virginia Woolf) , and is narrated by the sister of the abused boy. The film is a documentary ‘novela’. The story is told strictly by literary prose and slide photography. ‘HOMEWRECKA’ is the third film of the GIRLSTORIES trilogy. This trilogy is meant to reestablish the popular AFTER SCHOOL SPECIALS television program series of the late 70s to early ‘80s era and bring it directly into the contemporary world of experimental avant-garde art cinema.
