Details:

Jupiter is quoted as stating that if there be any in the past who owe aught to those about them, it is the will of the gods that they be reborn, that payment may be made. In the days of the ancient Romans there lived an emperor whose favorite loved a slave girl, who had been seized by the emperor’s orders. This favorite was willing to sacrifice his life that the beautiful girl whose likeness he had molded into an artistic statue, might be spared. Edward Sampson, a financier, is proud of his son Robert, who is studying art in Paris. With his wife, the financier embarks on a boat en route to France to pay the young sculptor a visit. Robert finds his work deteriorating because he can discover no model to give him inspiration. On the boat is Gracia, a stewardess, who, when she and the financier meet, have a sudden unaccountable feeling of having met ages before. However, Sampson saves the girl’s life and Mrs. Sampson decides to make of Gracia a companion. They arrive in France, and when Gracia and Robert meet, again comes the mysterious feeling that they, too, have loved in the long ago. The girl furnishes the inspiration for the young sculptor’s work of art, and they are later happily married,
