According to the BFI’s website: Semi-documentary about the shooting of ‘Surprise Package’ in Lindos, on the Greek Island of Rhodes, featuring the stars of the film. The children of Lindos are enchanted by Mitzi Gaynor, as she walks around the village, but are upset by the fact that Yul Brynner, when playing his character in ‘Surprise Package’ for the cameras, appears to be treating her roughly. The crew arrange for the couple to kiss and wave to the children, who then realise that the film is all make believe, and are happy. Narrator Noel Coward and director Stanley Donen are glimpsed briefly |
