In a lonely house a neurotic young man listens to bitter coughs outside of his ailing sister’s bedroom. Wanting to help her, he decides to cook her something. Soup. He methodically chops and slices vegetables in the grimy kitchen, suddenly experiencing bizarre visions. A crumpled picture of his sister, A rotting, maggot filled onion, his distorted reflection in the sink, the murky bubbling of the lumpy broth. With the meal complete and the coughing still echoing through the house, the man enters the dimly lit bedroom to deliver the dish to a shadowed figure in bed. Giving a warm smile to the figure he switches on the light, revealing his sister. The corpse of his sister lying in bed. As he exits, month’s worth of putrid soup bowl’s are seen covering the room. The coughing continues but the corpse lies still.
