Details:

This short highlights the film preservation efforts of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Several scenes from early newsreels are shown, including the San Francisco earthquake and fire of 1906, the funeral of Edward VIII of England (the Duke of Windsor), and U.S. president William McKinley at the 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York the day before he was assassinated.
