A former literary star, Rudy Park is a 20-something college dropout. Living in New York, he makes ends meet by writing personal essays for students’ college apps. Just as he tries to escape his dire freelance gig, his dealer feeds him an impossible task: to write a meaty thesis paper in 72 hours. Rudy battles through the anxious assignment, dealing with insomnia, personal gridlock, and an estranged relationship with his ambitious sister. He reaches an inevitable impasse, begging the question: When will Rudy stop writing other people’s stories and start writing his own? |
