Details:

Starting from the internationally renowned Moiré sculptures of the Bernese artist Werner Witschi, the film “Moirés Movement Light” offers a multi-level visual and acoustic experience and invites the spectator to perceive normal everyday life differently. By documenting the way Werner Witschi works in his workshop in Bolligen (near Berne) while creating a new Moiré object, and by creating visual and acoustic links between the abstract and the concrete through selected works of Werner Witschi and looks at the everyday objects and surroundings familiar to us, the film reveals new perceptions of and references to the abstract art. The improvised music takes the imagery of the film as a score in order to interpret acoustically the Moiré effect and the visually abstract constantly moving and changing.
