A group of pre-adolescents from Melbourne Australia adopt a ritual of mask making, storytelling and performance to express their troubles, hopes and dreams in this crucial time of transition in their lives. Interviews with their parents and the kids demonstrate the lack of awareness the parents have about what is going on in the minds and hearts of their children. The film culminates in a night time performance which sees the familes flawed by the problems these kids are facing and their amazing ability to voice their secret truths. |
