After the loss of his mother, young Marcus ignores his father’s attempts to reconnect. When he is uprooted for a wilderness road trip, Marcus escapes into the fantasy of his favorite video game —- a world of fair maidens, courageous knights and malevolent evil-doers. When the game runs out of batteries, Marcus is left alone with his imagination. As the wood around him comes alive with the enchanted characters of his game, it becomes clear that the darkness of his despair has followed him into this fantasy. Here, Marcus will take a stand against his grief and discover what it truly means to be brave. |
