Jen and Mark can’t have a baby. After years of failing to conceive, Mark has persuaded Jen to come to the Cerne Giant, on a remote hillside in Dorset. Here, he hopes they will benefit from the legend which says that a couple who make love on the Giant’s famous fertility symbol will conceive a child. But Mark can’t get it up and so, some months later, Jen returns to visit the Giant on her own. |
