Jim, who’s at home with an I.V. drip, calls the local AIDS center for help with his meds. The receptionist, who places call after call on hold as she puts pins in red-ribbon loops, transfers Jim to a series of people, each with a fancy title, and all of no help. We watch them in their offices as they do everything but provide assistance. As Jim’s frustration grows, the receptionist makes her own call to a friend. |
