The First Chechen War. Civilians, both Russian and Chechen have fled from the city. Mikhail, a surgeon, is one of the few Russians, who stayed in Grozny. Mikhail’s friend, a Chechen, protects him from militants and keeps convincing him to go to his family - the doctor’s wife and daughter, who left the city after the war burst out. Mikhail takes a decision to leave. But at night militants break into the doctor’s house with a wounded man. And early in the morning a car with federals pulls in. The film is based on true events. |
