Details:

For Lucy Chalke, a 20-something theatre producer, life is good. Happy at home and happy in love; Lucy is working on an upcoming play with acclaimed director Renley Cotton. Her fiancé Toby is the brother of director and together they live a peaceful and simple life. As the script is written and rehearsals progress, Lucy begins to find growing comparisons between her life and the story of the play - a main character remarkably similar to her, lines of dialogue that sound like her past conversations. The play itself, a dark tale of a woman oppressed, has Lucy more than worried. She grows suspicious, of her fiancé, of Renley, of everyone around her. As Lucy’s life, relationships and work all begin to entwine, she must race against time to find answers. The night before the play, breaking into Renley’s office, she finds the truth. She is the inspiration for the play; the office itself a shrine to her life. The script, the characters, it was all based on her. Furious, she confronts the director in the midst of a rehearsal. Renley admits that she was his muse; that her subdued and quiet life was what fuelled the idea of the play. Lucy is left to decide what path to take next - to stay and continue her life in the oppressive relationships she’s found herself in, or to leave and start anew.
