‘The Bouake Hustle’ is a glimpse of everyday life in a war torn African country as seen through the eyes of a local hustler. The documentary is set in Bouake, a bustling west African city of over a million people. Bouake has no prisons, no police and no courts. In this lawless anarchy, people do what they need to do in order to survive. Prostitution is rampant and so is robbery. Yet in the midst of this chaotic backdrop, Bouake is revealed as one of the most beautiful places on earth. The people are full of laughter, the families are tremendously strong, the slum is breath taking, the music is hypnotic and the prostitutes are drop dead gorgeous. Welcome to Bouake. |
