Through this film, Noni Dunstone seeks to reconcile her understanding of the nature of student-teacher dynamics and discovers the way she perceived this teacher reflected on how she viewed herself and her own need and expectation of ‘perfection’. “I began to appreciate how a mentor can walk the line between flawed human being and gifted teacher. And in doing so began to consider becoming a yoga teacher myself. The Line Between will inspire viewers to consider how and why they function in their own relationships with mentors or teachers; protégés or students and finally, parents and children.
