A group of Mafiosi has kidnapped a young girl in order to oblige the mother, Sonia, a Greek-African prostitute around thirty tears old, to work for them. By chance Sonia ends up in a temple with a group of tourists. This temple is connected to the mysteries of the Goddess Demetra whose daughter, Persephonis, following the myth, was kidnapped by the God of the Underworld, Pluto. This myth, which reflects the fight between Gods and Goddesses at the early beginning of the Greek Classic civilization, becomes the key through which a desperate woman reconnects - in a dream - with her own desire of happiness. |
