Details:

A documentary about reenacting war in a time of war. About Face! is an autobiographical documentary about the meaning of commemorating military history in the wake of the September 11 attacks. Every year in mid April, groups of New Englanders dress up as American colonists and 18th century British soldiers, Redcoats, to reenact the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first of the American Revolutionary War. Between 2002 and 2005, the filmmaker participates in the event as a Redcoat reenactor, taking up the perspective of a bad guy to ask questions about how Americans make sense of their history in a time of war.
