Carson City is so overrun by outlaws that Nugget Clark, owner of a wagon-train freight line which carries gold from the nearby mines, is about to give up his business because his wagons never reach their destination with the cargo intact. “Razor” Pool, the gang’s leader, has henchman Starkey, pose as a an old-time outlaw known as “Faro” Jack. The real “Faro” Jack, now reformed and known as Tom Drew, takes the job of sheriff, and Pool plans to frame him for the robberies. Insurance investigator “Rocky” Lane arrives in Carson City and soon figures out Drew’s dilemma and the gang’s scheme to discredit him.
