Bighorn sheep once roamed the Sierra Nevada in great numbers, surviving the last ice age, Indian hunting and hungry Gold Rush miners. In recent years, their numbers have plummeted. Scientists say it was human influence that endangered the wild sheep, and now it’s human actions that can save them. Green TV’s award-winning documentary Counting Sheep tells the story of two heroic people, dedicated to saving the Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep from extinction.
