Chalking has long been a preferred medium of self-expression for students at Wesleyan University, especially within the queer community. Groups of students often go chalking under the cover of night, and the campus wakes up covered in hilarious, thought provoking, and often confrontational queer messages. When University President Doug Bennett announces a ban on all sidewalk chalking, the students respond-how else?-by throwing a rocking chalking party. |
