After splitting with his longtime business partner, Hank Whirling is about to take his big top circus on tour. He manages to get a loan and some investment money but has to take on one of their employees, Randy Sherman, to keep an eye on the finances. Sherman immediately hires a new press agent, Helen Harrison, over Hank's objections. After a series of accidents, they soon realize that they have a saboteur in the company. With financial problems increasing, Whirling looks to take the the show to New York City before his former partner Jules Borman can get his circus there. He realizes that he'll need a lot of publicity and trapeze and high wire artist Zach Colino agrees to walk the wire across Niagara Falls. After the circus train is sabotaged - killing Zach's wife and several others - they race to Niagara Falls to complete the high wire act but Zach may not be up it. The saboteur working for Borman bides his time and is planning another death.

In this 60s show, the first of four Irwin Allen science fiction productions, the advanced submarine Seaview takes on all kinds of missions for the American government. Under the leadership of Admiral Nelson and Captain Crane, the Seaview takes on a variety of gritty real-world missions with spies, missile launches, deep-sea exploration, etc.Unfortunately, then Batman caught on and Allen decided that camp and far-out science was the way to go. Increasingly, episodes dealt with mind control, aliens, werewolves, evil puppets, monsters in cheap-looking rubber suits, etc. After three more seasons, the show came to an end due to low ratings.

Once Nemo is revived, the government makes a deal with him to refit his ship with a few modern technologies in exchange for his helping to defeat Professor Cunningham, a mad genius threatening to destroy Washington with a missile from his own submarine unless he is paid a billion dollars. Later, Nemo continues and completes his search for the sunken city of Atlantis, delayed 100 years by his long time in stasis.
