The film ends with Jake tracking down the hit man's hide out where there is a stand off between him and the alleged victim shot on the beach of which is run over by Geneva to save Jake after stabbing him in his wounded arm. The final scene reveals Geneva's husband plotting to kill his wife after calling the hit man's phone to confirm if it's all over of which Jake replies yes Miller it's over, it's all over.
