Forensic psychiatrist Jane Halifax is drawn into a whirlpool of doubt and anger when she is called in to counsel the survivors of a massacre at an isolated service station and general store. One survivor is tortured by the fact he has been spared, and in helping him with his problems Jane is forced to face her own emotional turmoil. |
