Miles Crawford is an actor-turned-lawyer. His son Tod is arrested and put on trial for murder. Tod is guilty of the crime but Miles makes an impassioned summation that manages to sway both the judge and the jury. Unfortunately, the prosecutor is a movie fan and points out that the summation was lifted word for word from one of Miles’s old movies in which he played a defense attorney in a case similar to his son’s. |
