Epic movie. It reminds me quite a bit of the gorgeous, historically based film The Last Emperor which of course takes place in China, Tibet’s neighbor. Stunning cinematography of beautiful landscapes, great acting & lavish sets make up this historical telling about the 14th Dalai Lama’s rule over Tibet. Not a film for everyone though since it is a slowly paced film.
