The Day the '60s Died (2015)

I was in grade school when AIM came to my little community. A large number Cheyenne lived in this little farming community and many were against AIM. School had to be canceled a couple of days due to a bomb threat. After a couple of weeks AIM left but they left a mark on the people of this little farming community. My great-grandmother was Cherokee and of course we all knew of the Trail of Tears and many other cruelties that the Native Americans suffered throughout history. I could write volumes about the plights that they’re still suffering with even in the 21st century and this is for every tribe from coast to coast.

I’m probably lucky that I was only a child during the late 60’s and early 70’s as I’ve always been pretty militant minded and firmly believe that power is never willingly relinquished, but instead must be taken by force. Even then it is rarely of little use, but I understand the anger and frustration that leads to violent protest and civil unrest.
