This definitely kept me interested, and everything is made clear by the end of the movie with a plausible explanation instead of leaving it as some kind of silly mysterious “powers” that we aren’t allowed to understand. Movies that do that really cheat the viewer, and it’s a lazy cop-out on the part of the writer and director. Everyone gave a good performance, and Edgerton plays someone completely different from his roles in Warrior (which is an excellent movie) or Exodus: Gods and Kings. It definitely is a true Mystery with the tension of a Thriller, and I was skeptical at first, because Horrors are often miscategorized as Thrillers, and most Horror movies are full of silly unexplainable nonsense.
