It’s quite a dark adaptation meant for an adult audience. I didn’t realise this until Scrooge dropped his first F-bomb. It touches on some delicate topics, has some very mild horror/violence and occasional bad language. I really enjoyed it. It doesn’t matter in which guise the story is told, it’s a great tale of redemption.
Both Tom Hardy and Ridley Scott are credited as Executive Producer.
Great review, I had already wrote this off as a “been there, done that”, but seeing you mention horror along with Hardy and Scott being involved have grabbed my attention. I also see it has the busiest man in Hollywood, Andy Serkis. That dude must never sleep,lol.
