Expedition Bigfoot (2019)

After watching 4 episodes of “Expedition Bigfoot” I have to admit I like it… for what it is. I’m most intrigued on how they got an actual Primatologist, Dr. Mireya Mayor, for the show. After some research I confirmed that she indeed did earn a PhD in anthropology from Stony Brook University in New York, although she also worked as a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins in-between her Bachelors and PhD studies. She also was responsible for co-discovering another species of rare mouse lemur in Madagascar, as well as prompting Madagascar’s prime minister to establish a national park to help protect the new species. I felt like her addition was a good one to an otherwise staged, choreographed and highly techo saturated “search” for Bigfoot. I do not believe, or disbelieve. I look at shows like this for entertainment value and to score as to whether or not they are telling the truth in any respect at all. I love shows about Aliens, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster… and any other rare and unusual animal, or even the staged hoaxes, IF they work their mysteries correctly. However, just like the so called extinct coelacanth (supposedly gone for the last 400 million years), there’s always the search, which can be quite entertaining, and with a bit of luck, interesting. I’d suggest binging at least 4 episodes at a time with this one.
