Rodreko : Such good writing. I think this show is under appreciated.
I thought this was fantastic.
It got totally panned by Rotten Tomatoes with a 12%…meanwhile the nearly identical in premise film: The Descent gets a whopping 85%.
Descent which often features complete blackness where you often can’t see what’s happening, actresses who are so talented you’ve never seen them in anything else, “caves” which overall look like the same few tunnels over & over, & creatures that are clearly just humans in masks… compared to THIS masterpiece featuring Queen Cersei Lannister aka Lena Headey, Coyote Ugly’s Piper Perabo, discount Matthew mcconaughey aka Cole Hauser, Morris Chestnut, and other recognizable faces….it features TRULY unique creatures with a cool plotline surrounding where they came from & around the whole discovery of the cave in general; cave systems which all look completely unique from each other; and GOOD LIGHTING.
It completely baffles me how it is even possible that anyone could consider The Descent a better movie than The Cave; let alone consider The Cave a 12% & Descent a 85% (or even on IMDB its 5.1 vs like a 8)
But I digress.
If you havent seen this; go watch it now. If you liked The Descent, you should love this.
