there are a lot of inaccuracies with the legal system, juvenile incarceration, human nature, etc. in this show and it is fine. i don’t demand perfection.
Something about the iron slippers bothered the shit outta me though. The level of metal work that would take to create fitting slippers with such symmetry, polish, purity, and detail is not something some rag tag cult in the woods could make. Id be impressed if they could make bent up iron rectangles with their limited skill and resources let alone those slippers.
Also without penicillin or any antibiotics/anti-inflammatories they might as well chop her head off. the level of infection those burns would create would kill her in days. even in the first world an injury like that is a death sentence without medical treatment. they better amputate her feet or send her to the hospital next episode.
