excuse me for interrupting, but the best way to get subtitles in sync with audio is when the subtitles and the video are in the same file. if the video is from one site and the subtitles are from another, the synchronization is usually not that good. in that case, you have to try and synchronize the subtitles and audio with some software like avidemux. also, burning the subtitles in the movie (to produce hard coded subs) is very time consuming. i normally use handbrake to do this, but one has to keep one thing in mind - to burn subs in the movie, the software re encodes the whole film and as a result, there is normally a reduction in the original resolution of the video. i’m talking from experience. once again, sorry for interrupting. please stay safe

That’s what I meant by “I try to use the .srt file that has the same url as the video.” You sound technologically advanced way beyond my old age! teehee, that’s a compliment of course! :) Even if I half-figure out anything, I can still barely describe the steps without the suitable jargon. =D
