I have been an avid comic reader since the 80’s with collections passed on from my dad from the 1960’s. Cerebro was a tool for FINDING Mutants (or the occassional Human), NOT for mind controlling millions of people. Machines that control minds on a mass scale is a comic-book trope. A Dime a dozen, and this particular comparison is LOOSE at best.
