Just the fact that there’s a Muslim woman saying, “Hell yeah,” made this show interesting. Autism is passed on via the men. If two of her children have autism, it’s from the father not from her. Especially for. its time, the Quran gives amazing rights to women, but preexisting cultural norms take most of those rights away. A muslim man has the right to beat his wife, but a muslim woman also has the right to beat her husband. She has the right to an equal education, but most muslim countries won’t let a woman express her opinion in any way (nothing written, verbal, or any form of communication) without her male protector’s permission. A muslim woman has the right to vote if she owns land, but she does not have the right to keep her vote secret, and she must vote the way her male protector tells her to vote. She has the right to own land, but she must relinquish all her property when she marries, and she does not have the right to remain single. The second part of my last three sentences are all cultural conditions existing before the Quran.
I’m not muslim. I’m a Christian, but I’ve got a degree in comparative religions, and I love studying all of this. I’ve studied Islam, and I reject it. Jesus Christ is God, but I believe in respecting religions.
what else does the bible say about islam?
