Pixar makes great films but I hate they made this story for a kids movie. Don’t get me wrong because this was good, but c’mon an old jazz music teacher going through midlife crisis and pretty much dies before realizing dream is a weird sales pitch for kids. Kept thinking story would’ve worked better if they made this live action or just had the human world be real. I work in animation and appreciate the work done, but the characters and topic is not something that connects with the target audience. It’s risky they chose this because it’s going to be hard for Disney to merchandise with toys and such.
