I’m not even about to watch this. Can someone tell Hollywood that this story is sooooo tired? These aren’t even spoilers. Bad guy knicks wife/gf or whatever and good guy has to kick ass to get her back with the final bad guy getting blown up in some cliche way but not before the good guy has a quick one liner. It’s literally a tale as old as time.
At least you admit not even watching it, so we know how much to weigh your score. Of course - most movie plots by now are not new, but remakes and variations. Originality is not the only reason to score a movie above 1/5. For old plots like this one, the movie may still be excellent if the production, acting, story telling/writing/editing is good with some twists or variations to make it interesting and fun. Essentially, nobody who watches these kinds of movie watches for originality - the very reason you’re critical.
