I think you mean “Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law” not the original “Birdman” BIG difference mate. It’s satire, just like how Venture Bros. is satire of Johnny Quest or Sealab 2021 is with Sealab 2020. They absolutely “get” the genre they were trying to portray and I think you lost your sanity points a loooong time ago if you think otherwise..
I have seen all incarnations of “Birdman”, from Hanna-Barbara’s sub-par efforts, “Attorney at Law” (which WAS mildly amusing, but still had an air of failure and naffness, somewhat like the original, so I was unable to watch more than two or three episodes), and even the movie deconstruction of “Birdman” with plastic surgery disaster Mickey Rourke (where again, we have a theme of failure) - but one golden rule remains, regardless of which version we are discussing:
“Satire” is supposed to be funny.
“Birdgirl” seems only to deliver fail, in large doses. If this amuses you, then good for you, champ, but I can’t see another series of this awkward dross getting made.
