I liked the first better because it made more sense how they got the contestants together. Unless they have some psychic powers there’s no way they could gather all past champions on their own free will on that exact train car in NYC. There’s so many things that could’ve gone wrong like them not chasing thief or getting caught up in all the people seconds before getting there. Also, how did they divide any innocent people from going in?? I also hated how stupid the main characters were with how they attempted to fight back in general. I just had to point out that illogical flaw because brain is running. I do like how they called back to the ending of first, but this whole organization to create death panic rooms is stupid and too convoluted. Fun to watch, but seriously unrealistic which throws me off.
