Pilot episodes are usually done in a rush. Meaning very few times to rehearse. I was laughing at some of the actors because it was bad in many scenes but it was entertaining. You have to be able to overlook some things to be able to enjoy the show. I will keep watching unless it gets worse but I think it will improve.
Actually, pilots usually get allocated way more money to be made than regular episodes. They often bring in better writing talent for pilots that don’t stick around for the series. Of all the pilots produced only 10 to 20% get sold and not all of those make to the airwaves. Not only do you want make a great impression during your pitch to the networks, but you need a product that will impress viewers enough that they want more. If it doesn’t appeal to a viewer at that point, in this case me, it’s not likely to get much better. Enjoy.
