Wow. Like an episode of Caillou. Is this the level of imagination left? High concept has turned to preteen, after school special, levels of thought. Mildly going where everyone has before.
Let’s face it — the world could use a bit of a “you know, we really should be working together” message right now. The idea that isolation can lead to distrust is also kind of relevant these days. Sure, not the best episode, but it does, at least, follow the philosophy of its creator - different races/species working together for a common good. Maybe a bit “after-school-special” feeling, but so be it.
