It’s kinda-sorta new technology (I think the first was the Tron reboot in 2010) and Disney’s behind it so it’s no doubt gonna evolve by leaps and bounds every time we see it. I still remember freaking out in the theater when I saw Rogue One when Grand Moff Tarkin was standing on the bridge of that ship. Peter Cushing died in 1994. It was literally like seeing a ghost. But, absolutely, Luke looked way more believable this time around. But, the first time around, there was a lot of criticism that Luke looked wonky and it was off-putting. They prolly tried a little harder, too.

If you go to Youtube and type in “han solo harrison ford deepfake” it shows Ford as Solo in the last Solo movie. It’s so fantastic and his other videos as well that Lucasfilm hired the guy that did them and he 9i assume) did the new Luke stuff. Check it out it’s amazing stuff.
