I felt that Kendall had better emoting & Pythia did a better overall lip sync show shrug
Priyanka’s final look tho -WOW-

Sigourney took Glamour, of course, though Dahli’s 90s Annie Lennox look was amazing. Hoso definitely stole Horror, Sigourney reminded me of Professor Membrane (in a good way). Saint’s Divine-inspired Filth was amazing, but Dahli’s auto-erotic death was quite impressive too. Congrats to the winner!
On a side note, how is it that Swan always looks prettier even though she and Drac are wearing the exact same thing?
“Potatoes are the reason for the season”. LMFAO. That costume….
The series started out a bit hokey. But it ended up not being bad at all. This finale leaves it open for future seasons (in a few different directions).
My favourite holiday episode of “Bob’s Burgers”. From Linda’s song about her dream (and the terrible year everyone had, which is relatable) to the Bleaken. It’s a fun, song-filled episode. Version 1 is the whole thing rather than just part 1. Not sure about the other links.
It wasn’t a terrible Series Finale. They brought the story full circle, at least.
You could see the “twists” coming. But still, a great episode. This show is living up to it’s potential.
As someone who has struggled with both ends of the eating disorder spectrum (combination anorexia/bulimia and compulsive overeating), this episode got to me. Seeing Jazz struggle with not only her own self-loathing, but the pressures of family (as well-meaning as they may be) is hard. Ultimately, it’s her happiness and self-love that matters most. I hope for the best for her.
“Bow down. Bow down, before the power of Santa!” Best episode ever.
No, Sigourney should’ve gone home not Zava! Sig’s look was VERY basic whereas Zava’z was not. They both had major malfunctions but Sig keeps doing the same silhouette. Grrrr.
Agreed. Sigourney just keeps pulling the same basic look, even when she finally tries to incorporate horror.
“Fall on your knees. I said fall on your knees you son of a b*tch!”. lmao. Such a fun episode.
Fun episode. Glad to see the teens enjoying their Drag Prom, though it sucks that COVID took their IRL prom. I was a bit disappointed that no one pointed out Gia’s Peggy Bundy look.
That’s an understatement. Keep in mind that at that time, Fox Broadcasting was only 3 years old and still trying to find it’s footing. It only broadcast a couple of hours on Saturday and Sunday nights and had nowhere near the budget of the Big 3 networks; their entire budget was probably less than NBC’s The Cosby Show or Cheers.
And if you think that those early episodes are rough, you should watch some of the sketches that appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show. Matt Groening created basic drawings for the animators and instead of cleaning them up for production, they simply re-traced his drawings, which led to a really rough appearance of the characters in those sketches.
Surveyoraz: I didn’t know that about their budget or that they had such limited broadcast hours. Thank you for teaching me something new!
I’ve actually seen a few of the old sketches, as some were included on one of the DVD sets. You’re right that those were even rougher. I was simply saying that this first episode (which I adore almost as much of some of the “Treehouse of Horror”) shows just how far they’ve come over the years. :-)
I kinda doubt there will be a season two but that’s just my opinion
Probably not. But if there is, here’s hoping it’s more like the first few episodes, rather than the last.
I watch this episode every December, and it never gets old. But it’s amazing to see how far the characters have come since. These early episodes were so rough.
This show started out so well. But the last couple episodes weren’t that good. Here’s hoping that if there’s a season 2, it picks back up.
Dita Von Teese was very well done! I was surprised that Luquisha was saved, given the bit of a breakdown.
The puns quickly went from funny to terrible. Heddie Toothgraze, Mac Bookpro, Ace Hardware, Kirstie Alley (the widest alley in town).
Wow. Just wow! This episode was so empowering and showed so much love. The downright hateful reception they got, versus the love and support later on. I sure hope there will be a Season 3.
Fantastic finale! I can’t wait for Season 2 (which has been confirmed). This episode (especially that ending) blended humor and horror so well. I’m so happy Brad Dourif was brought in as the voice of Chucky, the movie remake lacked his nuance. And tying it in with the movies (complete with the ever-sexy Jennifer Tilly, the quirky Brad copycat that is Fiona Dourif, and even the Tiffany doll) was brilliant.
I didn’t know what to expect but gave the 1st ep a go.. laughed a lot! Thanks for the recommend :))x
The thing w/Jade though is that sure she did her best look so far on this epi but the other’s looks were just so far superior that even at her best she couldn’t come close.
I’m really disappointed in Saint. She won the Resurrection competition they did last year but is so full of doubt now. Her presentations are lackluster although she’s had a few good looks. I was really rooting for her. I hope she can pull herself up which she did this epi but I think it may not be enough.
IMO Dahli is the clear front runner. He has been consistent w/amazing looks each week & has a great attitude/outlook on it all. La Zavaleta & Hoso aren’t too far behind although Hoso had a stumble last week w/that squid monster look which put her in the bottom. But Dahli’s looks have been so strong it’s obvious he will be on top.
Well said! I agree that Dahli is looking to be this season’s winner. But you never know. Any one of them could manage to pull something amazing! Here’s hoping that Saint gets out of that funk she’s in. She did so well in “Resurrection”.
Jade was quite a drama mama behind the scenes prior to this epi & her looks have been consistently underwhelmingly unhorror imo. They’ve booted most of the other drama mamas too (except La Zavaleta but she’s turned out some incredible horror looks, so I can see why she’s still there) so it really was Jade’s time to go despite losing her cat & doing the best she’s done so far as far as her horror drag this epi. Unfortunately it was a little too late!
And Sigourney needed that swift kick of being in the bottom. The judges were correct saying she’s too glamour & not enough filth, horror & griminess w/basically too similar silhouettes week after week (even though many were beautiful but this is not RPDR).
I definitely agree that Jade brought nothing but drama. I even made a remark about all the drama and lack of horror on the first episode. Her look this challenge was her best horror look yet. I think it was good enough to keep her out of the bottom. Especially if they apply “behind the scenes counts” across the board.
You are 100% correct about Sigourney. It’s all glamour with her. And this particular look was lacking. You could tell the “hairy boobs” was just some bits of wig sewn around the edges of the dress. Spirit-gum some hair ONTO the breasts, add more elsewhere, and stop with that “Jessica Rabbit silhouette”. We’ll see if she learns.
I get that they didn’t want to cut Jade a break, but they talked about how “behind the scenes counts” with Hoso. Jade lost her cat and couldn’t even be there. That’s hard! Yet she didn’t say a word to anyone, for fear of “bringing them down”. She just focused on her work and did a pretty good job. That should’ve kept her out of the bottom. Now, as much as I love Sigourney Beaver, she deserved the bottom.
Best dressed: Michelle Visage. That look was perfection! Runner up: Charity Kase. Congrats to the top three, and to the winner!
The best episode of the season so far. Though still not anywhere near what the show used to be. In spite of the bad re-casting, there might be hope for this season yet.
The Thanksgiving episodes can be kind of hit-or-miss (I just rewatched them all this month, and was reminded of how bad some are). This one is pretty decent. As always, Bob is obsessed with Thanksgiving dinner. But this year, he’s cooking for an entire nursing home! Louise is reluctantly roped into helping him, and is not happy. Linda tries to fix things between a mother and son. And Tina, Gene, and Zeke are the entertainment. Sweet, yet funny.
Can’t help but utterly love Jennifer Tilly. Not quite sure why they made the kids act so gormlessly at the end and basically all mill about and miss their chance to take out Chucky, that really bugged me tbh.
Right? Typical horror trope though. The kids doing the wrong thing while the killer gets away.
And Jennifer Tilly is amazing, as always. Gorgeous and hilarious.

I’ve been a fan from the start, which is why Season 4 is disappointing. “Filth” and “Horror” have been replaced with “Drama”. The show has lost it’s grittiness and become a “Hot Topic Rupaul’s Drag Race”. Here’s hoping the rest of the season incorporates a bit more horror.
I like Tracy Morgan but this was jarring. His voice just doesnt fit AT ALL with the character or the show. I want to give it a chance cuz tracy is genuinely funny but the 2 things just dont fit together.
The last episode had a good script, at least. This one…meh. “Shrimp-ish” was the only really funny part. And they really made a big deal out of Early’s voice, but in a way that came across preachy. Here’s hoping the rest of the season is more like the first episode and less like this one.
I get that they had to let Unknown Hinson go. But Tracy Morgan? Couldn’t they find someone who sounded even remotely close? The episode was decent from a script standpoint.
This episode touched me more than any other so far. The stories of the people they worked with, and those around them, along with the history itself….
There’s nothing like a good horror movie, and…well….
The entryway and doors were in “Grave Encounters”. So, at least there’s that.
This episode was so beautiful. James letting people he just met borrow some of the pins he collects was so sweet!
Love this episode!
