The Venture Bros. (2003)

This for me is animation and comedy at it’s best.

O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2001)
McShagan 2 points 5 years ago.

If you ain’t bonafide cuz you ain’t seen this you should sit down and watch it before you up and RUNNOFT to look at something else. This and The Big Labowski are to of my absolute favorites by the Coen bros. This movie is so re watchable and is one of the most quotable movies ever made.

Brightburn (2019)
Primal (2019)
McShagan 2 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Started watching and I could not stop. This is a great story about a boy and his dog except it’s not a dog. Set in a fantasy world where man and monsters co-exist, and I must admit I have thought about this exact scenario if man and dinos existed together.

The Booth at the End (2010)
McShagan 2 points 4 years ago.

This show was great I wish it had lasted longer but we don’t always get what we want. It was well worth the watch and I can only hope that one day the people that started this continue.

Peaky Blinders (2013)
anniemars 1 points 4 years ago.

Haha shags, have you watched the movie? It was weird but at least we got some measure of closure. :(

McShagan 2 points 4 years ago.

Not yet I have been saving it for a pain free day to make sure I get the most out of it.

Dead Like Me (2003)
McShagan 2 points 5 years ago*.

One of my favorite series. This show takes the subject in all directions, it’s smartly written and has a great cast. Very binge worthy.

Peaky Blinders (2013)
gypsy soul 2 points 5 years ago.

I hear there is a “Deadwood” movie in the works, even as I speak, with almost all of the original cast. It cannot help but be GREAT. I am sooooo ready.

McShagan 2 points 5 years ago.

Yes I cannot believe they are going to finish it up. My heart broke when it was canceled.

Rocketman (2019)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

This is the movie that takes Taron Egerton to the front of the pack for best actor.

Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
Krl246 2 points 4 years ago.

Thanks for the actual info and not a paste in reply, agreed, the audio is like listening to unscrambled PayPerView. At least a TS copy the video is passable.

Annihilation (2018)

McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

lol Yes there was but it was also was very vague about any motivations the life form had. those were my thoughts. The title and code word Annihilation were from the book :)

that was my original thought except it was a reply to an original comment and no pm was sent because it may have helped other users.

McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

I asked that a name be associated with every up or down vote but apparently it made to much sense and I was shut down.

Near Dark (1988)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

Kathryn Bigelow raided her boyfriends movie cast and made one of the most brutal movies ever. Bill Paxton’s best performance IMO love this movie.

Children of Dune (2003)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

As a lover of the David Lynch movie the remake made me ill. The Dune that proceeded this on the scifi network while being a little more true to the book I actually hated. The acting left a lot to be desired and it just really hit me the wrong way. The second part however is a different story. I am not sure if it is because there is nothing to compare it to. Or it may be better directed, but I liked this combination of Dune Missiah and Children of Dune Mashup. The Musical score for this is also very good I enjoy it all by itself.

The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)
gypsy soul 1 points 5 years ago.

OMG! I believe in today’s atmosphere I could get McShagan arrested for recommending this film. lmao Yes, it was FUNNY. 7/10

McShagan 1 points 5 years ago*.

Down voted again I see.

Shadow (2018)
BruceLeeFan88 -4 points 4 years ago*.

My thoughts exactly. Mcshagan, go smoke more crack cocaine, your paranoia is starting to screw with my brain.

McShagan -2 points 4 years ago.

Crack or no Robophony your crazy behavior has not gone unnoticed up top and with the people you threaten in back channels when you perceive a slight. Have you noticed that my statement has gone from -3 to +1. Go back to staying out of chat like you did in the goodold days and just spam people mailboxes as Armeek and everyone will be better off.

Little Women (2019)
McShagan 0 points 4 years ago.

Having never read the book I can not try to compare it. I will say I enjoyed it due to the cast. Ronan and Pugh were a delight to watch and Chalamet’s performance was enjoyable as well. I look forward to seeing what he does as Paul Atreides in the new Dune movie. 4/5

Somewhere in Time (1980)

I was in love with Jane Seymour from the age of 18/today because of this movie.

Care for some gopher?

McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

No thank you, Delmar. One third of a gopher would only arouse my appetite without bedding it down.

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

I give this an 11 out of 10

Thursday (1998)
McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

Caught this in the theater it was only there for a week after reviews tore it to pieces. There is a Guy Ritchie vibe here that challenges you to say well I saw that coming. That is because you will not see were this movie is taking you next. I had big fun watching this but, I ain’t right in the head so there is that.

The Great Santini (1979)
McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

Saw this in the thatr was shocked at how calm Robert Duvall seemed compared to my dad.

Dethanos you start off by accusing Fin of wearing panties and take offense to the term “troll” when it is directed at you. It seemed to be appropriate in the context it was used. You on the other hand keep using words when you clearly do not understand their meaning. Throwing out these buzzwords in no way makes you look like you know what you are talking about, and in fact causes you to loose the credibility that you are striving for. I find it amusing that while using the term “textbook” to describe what you claim to be bigotry. It is quite obvious you have never had much experience reading them. If you take that to be an insult to your character and intelligence, I must tell you that you cannot insult that which does not exist. I look forward to your reply of incorrectly used descriptive terms.

Sing Street (2016)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

One of the best movies of 2016. Great music that absolutely took me back to one of the best things about the 80.

The Sound of Music (1965)
McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

Started watching and could not make myself do anything else until it was over even though I have seen it like 5 times. This is an oldie but goodie for sure.

Drive (2011)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

Loved this movie It was one first that I know of that brought back an 80’s synth soundtrack and used it well.

Legion (2017) S3 E2
McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

This was good. Not as impactful as the first episode but, I still enjoyed it more than anything else TV has offered so far this year.

Deadwood (2004)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

I will put on any episode of the first season at any time this show is just that good. David Milch is a freaking genius and in my opinion took a perfect cast and created the best show ever on television.

Shadow (2018)
BruceLeeFan88 -3 points 4 years ago.

I’ve used the same username and no other since the original Primewire. I didn’t mean to offend you over something so trivial as to the color palette of a film. Good day.

McShagan -3 points 4 years ago.

Oh you did mean to offend. That is why why you voted it down then used your agent A account along with you Robophone to knock it down and bump yours up.

Taylor Tomlinson: Quarter-Life Crisis (TV Special 2020) (2020)
McShagan 0 points 4 years ago.

Young comics are not normally this spot on. This was a great set.
I will leave plenty of room below for you to explain your opposition to my comments. If you don’t possess the mental ability to do so just down vote it as usual.

Watchmen (2019) S1 E5
McShagan 0 points 4 years ago.

This has become must watch for me.

Legion (2017) S3 E1
McShagan 0 points 4 years ago.

I agree m840 this show continues to amaze me by getting even better when you thought it was already the best that there is. This is my favorite thing going on right now. I am now putting it up there with Deadwood as the best show ever made on my list of favorites.

Anna (2019)
McShagan 0 points 4 years ago.

Decent action, story is a bit thin it tried to be clever but it really isn’t. It is watchable but that is about the best I can say about it. I expected a little more from Luc Besson.

Brain Smasher... A Love Story (1993)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

I saw this back in the day it came out after The Adventures of Ford Fair lane and it was okay. If you are a Dice fan you may like it otherwise life is short and this is 90 minutes you can’t get back.

Hero at Large (1980)
0_0 0 points 4 years ago.

Anyone notice a young Kevin Bacon at 9min in? Gotta love these older movies and then spot the young actors. I was watching a few months ago The Twilight Zone or something like it and saw a young Kurt Russel he was abt 6yo. It was in Black n white and a spoken part also. Hum; now trying to find the show but it is not listed on his IMDB, so need to watch again if I can remember what series it was. I know there is Twilight Zone and some others like it that I can not think of their names. Any ideas please post. Yea def 80s cheese but entertaining at best.

McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

This is the youngest that I have seen Kurt Russel.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s7X5-Drctk
The thing is that no one recognizes him.

Dune (2000) S1 E1
gypsy soul 2 points 5 years ago*.

DUNE - One of my very favorite sci-fi universes. I LOVED the book and waited so impatiently for the next installment to be released so I could return to this wonderful world I was so excited when I heard they were making the movie in the ‘80s then proceeded to HATE everything about it especially the casting of Paul. Now. here we are, 20 yrs later, and I still HATE the casting. I do not believe anyone involved has even read DUNE, except for the writers. The story is unfolding pretty much true to form but the acting, the actors, etc, is/are GARBAGE. It hurts my heart. 4/10

McShagan 1 points 5 years ago*.

Agreed. The Syfy version was shite While the second installment where they combined Dune Messiah and The Children of Dune I could tolerate. James Mcavoy and Jessica Brooks were no where near as bad in the lead roles. While I know the Lynch version took more that a few liberties I enjoyed it still wishing that Jodorowsky had had the chance to do it first. They even used some of Gigers art on Caladan and on Giedi Prime. I will tell you if you have not heard that Dune is being remade by Denis Villeneuve and I am so hopeful. The casting looks great and I am a huge Villeneuve fan and I can hardly wait. Being one of my favorite book series I know nothing can beat what I have imagined, but I do admit to wanting to see this.

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (2015)
finigan1 2 points 5 years ago.

The best mini series I have likely ever seen, everything about it is great, I have watched it several times now and it does not get old.And the way they end it is brilliant, so much in just 7 episodes. I highly recommend you watch this,a perfect 5 out of 5,and an. Are you shitting me?, that was awesome! For dramatic effect.

McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

Loved this as well Fin. Tom Hardy is a lucky man.

Dune (2000) S1 E1
gypsy soul 2 points 5 years ago.

I have read some about the upcoming version and like you, I am looking forward. The casting they have announced is much more to my liking. On your faint praise, I am going to finish the other two installments then move on to Children of Dune. At least the new producer has the love for DUNE in his heart.

McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

Just beware Susan Sarandon she is retched in this. lol Dune Messiah which counts as the first part of three has most of the original cast except Alice Krige now plays Paul’s mother. The music in this is awesome.

Happy! (2017)
Odie 5 points 5 years ago.

This show is bloody fantastic. Literally. And quit the trip. So glad it got a second season, and the Original writer of the Graphic Novel Signed off on it If Im not mistaken.

McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

loved the first season Odie I was waiting for season 2 to complete before I binged. Now just waiting for a time gap that will work. Bump!

Mountains of the Moon (1990)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

Iain Glen AKA Sir Jorah Mormont looks like a teen in this movie. I love good movies based in history like Master and Commander and this. They are always something I am interested in and this didn’t disappoint.

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

I was so glad the early word on this was wrong. While being aimed at a younger audience they came close enough to the Manga that I really enjoyed it for the eye candy it was. I will say that with the simplistic script Jennifer Connelly and Mahershala Ali were there for their name power alone. There were no scenes that required their talents and their roles could have been performed by anyone with any acting skill. If you haven’t seen it and you have a screen that will show off the best part of this movie wait until a clean version is posted.

Your Highness (2011)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago*.

This is a bad movie that I have seen like 6 times. Yes it is one of those movies that is fun to watch because it is so stupid and stupid is as stupid does. That’s what Mama said anyways.

John Caparulo: Meet Cap (2008)
McShagan 1 points 4 years ago.

Even though this is 11 years old it is a great show, Cap is funny as hell. I would love to see him do another special.

The Wandering Earth (2019)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Sorry but I had to shut it off after The Man of Steel soundtrack ripoff cranked up after 20 minutes,

American Gods (2017) S2 E8
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

So Shadow is the son of two gods. I am betting that Mr World has no clue. All the clues were there but I didn’t listen and needed to be slapped in the face with the truth. I will admit that how Mad Sweeney returns should be pretty cool he is my favorite. See you next year I hope.

Deadpool (2016)

A great love story

Ex Machina (2015)
McShagan 1 points 5 years ago.

My favorite movie of 2015 I was amazed at what could be done on a shoe string budget as compared to other movies being made today.

Tom Segura: Mostly Stories (2016)

Love this show Tom is one of the top comedians out there right now.
