It’s based on a series of 3 Asian-themed books, so the finale was perfect in line with that. There will not be a season 2, but there might be adaptations of the other books in the trilogy, Tai-Pan and Gai-Jin.

AT first I almost thought it was a copy of Counterpart. the opening scene and credits are so similar

binged the whole thang.. Gotta say I love it.. lots of the acting was not so great.. some changes in the story, and man they got a lot into 8 episodes.. the toon series was lots more episodes. short but i reckon the whole book 1 was longer in the toon than this series.. I thought the actor playing soka fit the part well.. he looks like him .. lol
