He was diagnosed with Amyloidosis but was undergoing treatment. Knowing he might die before the books were finished he spent the first year after diagnosis telling different close friends and family parts of the rest of the story in detail so that it could be pieced back together and finished in a JRR Tolkien Christopher Tolkien way by someone else. He promised the fans that no matter what the books would be finished and the way he wanted the story to end. I think Sanderson did an admirable job given the difficulties of trying to emulate someone else’s writing.

Aatami : “In cash. Big bills, thanks. So that it’s not so damn heavy to carry around!”
very different role for momoa, great twist ending, kept my attention till the end. 8/10
this series continues to draw high caliber talent, and with each episode it raises the bar even higher, television will never be the same from yellowstone to 1883 to 1923, can’t wait for the next…..
sci-fi/fantacy and the commenters say its not believable………well derrrr
wait Nicholas Lyndhurst is in this? loved him in only fools and horses, butterflies, and goodnight sweetheart, now i gotta see this!
wait…. what about the 67 summer of love, sergeant pepper’s, woodstock…..
If you’re a fan of Michael Chiklis or just looking for your next binge this is it …lot’s of intrigue to keep you on your toes and enough action to keep you from getting bored. I say 4 out of 5 stars
gotta wonder what kind of sick twisted psychopathic brain thinks this tripe up….
I realize he wasn’t referred to as The Swede in passing but to me
he is THE one and only. For now I’ll stand corrected.
EDIT: but sometimes he was
b4 the swede he was bigfoot/john druitt/jack the ripper in sanctuary, fantastic job playing multiple parts opposite amanda tapping who also directed
i’m on ep 2 and wow gripping edge of your seat stuff! well told to keep you guessing how its all connected 4/5
aaaannnnddd here you have a prime example of holywoods desperate need to pander to the pc crowd
really wanted to liek this show with name Kung Fu from my childhood BUT i lasted 10 mins the acting is terrible the script is lame and the fight sequences are pathetic/laughable - its now universal some white people cant act some black people cant act and now some asians cant act too-and dont even get me started on shaolin monk teaching kung fu to a female and in under 3 years -at least david carradine had the lenght of training to hone his kung fu skills -if you can watch whole episode and enjoy it more power to ya - hard pass on this CW crap from me bring back the grasshopper
Chinese culture is known for low male chauvinism and female warriors go waaayyy back and while i know little about shaolin teachings i think i’m openminded enough to give it a try. ty for letting me know this is nothing in common with the 70’s show david carradine et al stole from bruce lee. ok now i’ve seen it i’ll give you the bad acting. unfortunately thin script and cw overdramatics make this a pass
I believe you’re right. I as soon as I saw Walton Goggins I remembered that he was in something like this, read something about it, but won’t say anything else as I would have to make it a spoiler, and what I remember might not be totally accurate, but I will say that anything he is in usually is pretty good, guy is a great actor.
The final season will be split in 2 like Lucifer. I’m glad we will get a conclusion.
whoever thought up split seasons should be shot- w rock salt…repeatedly
He was very passionate about sticking to the book. (The Witcher)
tbh he’s a avid witcher gamer and read all the books and let’s be honest he was right about sticking to cannon the show really went off the rails when the writers tried to be creative and messed it up. js
his name is MICHAEL CANE not a lot of people know that……..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNWp8Kq5JgI
you spelled it wrong Sir Michael Caine CBE (born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite; 14 March 1933)
I grew up near Manchester and was 10 when Sutcliffe was arrested so can remember bits of the tv coverage and how scary it seemed..
BUT this programme gobsmacked me!
Absolutely Shocking.
5/5
i was a little younger, and outside banbury but also remember bits of the tv coverage and how scary it seemed. i almost passed on this because of that. i saw your comment and decided to try, ty
From an article in digitalspy:
“We finally got an update in early 2019, but it wasn’t exactly great news: Knight (the writer) revealed that the writing on the new series was “almost” finished, but filming wouldn’t begin until late 2019 or even possibly early 2020. So don’t expect new Taboo until late 2020 at the earliest.”
Ketchup? Catsup? It’s all Red.
not really i saw a green c(k)atsup in korea when i was in the navy back in ‘94, i was told it was made with green tomatos…..js
Did you mean Mrs. Peel?
no Mrs Gale, Mrs. Peel took over when Honor Blackman left to go be a bond girl after season 3.
Sometimes the dates aren’t quite right. Or maybe they get posted earlier. Didn’t think you were being rude. Officially it wasn’t out, but it was out. :)
added to the list ‘cause it sounded interesting,, but don’t be fooled by the english trailer its in spanish. if like me you have to pause to read the much faster paced latin language which takes away from enoying the show then pass,i am, as i cant find it in english anywhere . shame on you disney+
abort abort Bad acting Bad storyline poor production say 3/10 and thats kind
It’s Finnish.They like odd.
I see better copies of this are out now. Good.
I may have been a bit quick to say there is “no such thing” as a 10 film. I too have a few that may rate a 10, bearing in mind that they rate a 10 in my opinion, and others may not agree. I always site “Memories Of Murder” as a 10 film. I loved that film. Thanks for keeping me honest.
guys! legends of the fall, dances with wolves, rebel without a cause…
but yeah this one 6/10.
really this could have gone either way… i mean a john stamos - disney team up could have ended up so candy sweet you would want to barf! however it didn’t i was wary but pleasantly surprised, i quite like it.
This is pretty good. glad of the dubs the korean language is so fast subs are hard to keep up with.
One thing I’ve noticed in this mini-series is the amount of smoking these people do! I’m not use to seeing people smoke on tv shows since that is no longer common on American tv shows and movies and you won’t see cigarette ads either on American tv networks.
it does take place in the 70’s people smoked alot more, also smoking was more prevalent in india and still is
