Joe Rogan Questions Everything (2013)

A time when Joe Rogan would question everything.

The Tillman Story (2010)
Johnny2Stripes 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Excellent documentary. War criminals using a tragic death as a propaganda tool.

Save Me (2018)
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 3 years ago.

Pretty decent drama. Worth a watch. 5/5.

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 3 points 3 years ago.

Does it go into any detail about Jeffery Epstein’s ‘Black Book’ a who’s who of paedophiles in high places? When you consider the names in that book, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Prince Andrew, it’s no wonder Epstein was bumped off.

Boys from the Blackstuff (1982)

The Thatcher era, god that was a miserable time.

Black Mirror (2011) S1 E1
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 3 years ago*.

This episode must have brought back so many happy memories for the then Conservative PM David Cameron and all his Bullingdon Boy chums.

The Fighter (1989)
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 3 years ago.

Benny ‘The Jet’ Urquidez is a Kickboxing legend. The man was a real fighter unlike some more popular hollywood hype job martial artists i could mention.

The Wrong Missy (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

The problem is with Sandler, Schneider, Spade, they’re making movies today that wouldn’t look out of place 20 to 30 years ago. All hasbeens.

UFC PPV Events (1993)
Johnny2Stripes 2 points 4 years ago.

Pretty good card with decent fights. No crowd ruins the atmosphere. A very strange set up though given the current circumstances.

Through My Father's Eyes (2019)
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 4 years ago.

Like her or not, Ronda Rousey generated worldwide interest in women’s MMA, something that simply didn’t exist before her. She brought women’s MMA to the masses. Such a great athlete.

Gangs of London (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 4 years ago*.

Team Soho and Sony Computer Entertainment would release ‘Getaway’ for the PS2 in 2002 later followed by ‘Gangs of London for the Sony PSP released in 2006. While both games took inpsiration from movies like Get Carter and Snatch, both games it is said are what the TV series ‘Gangs of London’ are based on.

Gretel & Hansel (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

Didn’t enjoy it, it was a struggle to watch. I know it’s fictional but as soon as a saw Gretel with an american accent, Hansel with what sounded an english accent, (supposedly brother and sister) i thought that is absolutely ridiculous, it just ruined the whole feel.

Hammer House of Horror (1980)
Saucer-People 1 points 4 years ago.

Thanks for unearthing these treasures from your vault,Johnny. I can still remember both the heady mixture of excitement and fear I felt as a 12 year old watching the series when it was first broadcast 40 years ago!
Perfect lockdown binge viewing!

Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

You’re welcome. Most are decent stories but for me, The Two Faces of Evil is the episode that stands out the most, one i never forgot from childhood.

1BR (2020)

It’s one to come back to if you’ve literally nothing else to watch.

Fringe (2008)
Noun X 6 points 4 years ago*.

It’s becoming my big fav of all time, just browsed a few days ago tv shows like X-files, what a discovery !!!
The first half of the pilot was hard but then it’s only a pure enjoyable ride, the 3 first episodes brought me on the edge of my sofa.
Really nicely made as well as a great cast, I need more of it right now!!!

Edit after 4 seasons in, it was normally supposed to be done on 3 seasons, the 4th was ok, but the 5th reduced to 13 episodes sounded odd, and after a few episodes in, I was out.

If you want a proper memory of this 3.5 season masterpiece, stop at season 4 episode 15 or end of season 4, it all goes down the drain after that…
But of course we all have our bad tastes sometimes.

Johnny2Stripes 6 points 4 years ago.

It is one of the greatest series ever made. I wish i was finding it for the first time.

Moby Dick (1998) S1 E1

Johnny2Stripes -1 points 4 years ago.

Yes wiki says run time is 180 mins minus the adverts. Originally it was 2x2 hours episodes including adverts. 2 hrs 56 mins is accurate.

Goldfinger (1965)
PonderThis -3 points 4 years ago.

RIP Honor Blackman! I do believe Pussy Galore is the best name given to any Bond girl. Rather surprised that the censors didn’t tell the director/producers to change the name for her character.

Johnny2Stripes -1 points 4 years ago.

Plenty O’Toole, Chew Mee, Holly Goodhead?

Foreman (2017)

It was indeed a good film and a fantastic soundtrack.

Brokedown Palace (1999)

Good movie and great dance tunes/music from that era.

Impractical Jokers: The Movie (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

Like the TV show, big fan of what the guys do but this doesn’t really work as a movie. It’s like the tv show with unnecessary bits in between just to make it movie length. Disappointed. Still not getting why the U.S public aren’t recognising these guys far more often, i thought they’d need disguises long before now.

Hammer House of Horror (1980) S1 E12

My personal favorite of the entire collection. Gave me nightmares as a kid.

Hammer House of Horror (1980)

Classic British horror from my personal vault :)

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files (2010)

One of the better series of this type. Why on earth didn’t they make more seasons?

Wonder Woman (1975)

Judy & Punch (2020)
Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

It’s not a must see by any means but it’s worth watching for just being so different to a lot of other films you’ll see here.

Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life (2018)
Johnny2Stripes -7 points 4 years ago*.

Such a big fan of Steve Martin but at some point in his career he just stopped being funny. This is abysmal.

The Outsider (2020) S1 E2
Skyehawk 0 points 4 years ago*.

This is one of the best and most suspenseful shows I have seen in a long time. It’s dark and creepy. It reminds me of The Killing or True Detective season 1 for some reason.

Johnny2Stripes -2 points 4 years ago.

I was under the same impression early on, struggled with it after that.

The Walking Dead (2010) S10 E13

This comes out no that long after first cases of COVID-19 are reported in China.

From Beyond the Grave (1975)
Johnny2Stripes -1 points 4 years ago.

Very like Stephen Kings ‘Needful Things’ where a shopkeeper seems to have things people want but there is a price to pay (not money). There are several stories centered around the shop. Some wonderful British actors. Pretty good watch even today.

The Outsider (2020) S1 E10
Johnny2Stripes -1 points 4 years ago*.

Started so well, unfortunately it’s a slow burner from then on and the ending doesn’t make up for the time invested in it. Watching it weekly is difficult as it’s so damn slow, maybe it’s better binge watched? The best thing about it ending is that Ozarks season 3 is next. Bateman was never going to have these two head to head now was he?

The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann (2019)
Johnny2Stripes -4 points 4 years ago.

Nothing new here, it sticks to the official story pretty much which has more holes in it than swiss cheese.

Lights Out (2011)
Johnny2Stripes -2 points 4 years ago.

The U.S has so much choice of what to watch there’s always going to be great series that never gets renewed, this though should have been.

Humans (2015)
Johnny2Stripes 1 points 4 years ago.

Fantastic series one of my favs. 3 seasons was all they signed up for unfortunately.

Imperium (2016)
JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

Have you watched Horns or Swiss Army Man or Especially: Guns Akimbo?
Watch those 3. It’ll definitely help partially erase that Potter vibe.

Johnny2Stripes -3 points 4 years ago.

Not watched Guns Akimbo or Swiss Army Man yet, Horns i have but wasn’t my cup of tea. I shall give the other two a watch though thanks.

Sex Lives of the Potato Men (2004)

A big thank you to the uploader for uploading this. One funny British comedy.

The Real Face of Jesus? (2010)

Have you re-read the documentation on the Carbon 14 evidence? BTW, I am not arguing with you. You are entitled to your opinion, but if you would like some more sources to review, I would be glad to let you see what I’ve found.

Johnny2Stripes 0 points 4 years ago.

Hey i’m not arguing either and i have seen other sources, i’m just stating the position of many forensic experts and the Catholic church, what i believe doesn’t really matter.

I think there’s still parts of much of the U.S much like my own country that are decades/half a century behind the rest of the world mentally.
